You Are Making Progress

progress

Are you not seeing any progress in your life so you are feeling down? Maybe you have not reached the place that you want to be in life? Don’t give up. It is hard to keep yourself going when you are feeling stuck.

It is sometimes difficult to see any progress, but you are making some. When you pay attention, you can see even the small signs of progress.

If you are planning to make new Year’s Resolutions this December 31, stop. Most if not all New Year’s Resolutions never last beyond the end of January.

Instead, you need to set attainable goals that you can achieve and become successful in your life.

A Life Coach can help but many people consider it as an expensive item instead of an investment in themselves.

To help, I have created a Group Coaching Program that begins in the first week of January 2023.

You can find out more and register for one of the groups at:

https://coachmichaelw.com/Group_coaching/

Take a look at the information and register.

This could also make a great gift to a family member who desires success in their lives.

When you have hit a rough patch, you can look for these signs of progress.

You do feel optimistic about the future. When you are struggling, it is difficult to see outside of your present circumstances. When you look around, you may be able to see that your perspective is changing.

  • Your outlook becomes more positive and you start to become more hopeful about your future. This is a sure sign that you are making progress. Things may still be a little tough though.

  • You can keep your optimism up by finding things to be grateful for in your life. It is hard to see anything positive when you are feeling down. Taking a step back and thinking about the things you are grateful for is helpful to shift your focus which can improve your outlook.

  • Ask yourself if your negative thoughts are true. Challenge them to prove they are wrong.

  • When you are in difficult times, it is easy to lose your focus on your goals. When you focus, it is possible to stay motivated and keep moving towards your goal.

You are improving your life. When you are stuck nothing seems to make things better. Even if you can’t see any path out right now, don’t give up. Even making small steps to improve your life is a sign of progress.

  • There are a few things that you can do to keep yourself moving forward. You need to set goals to give yourself something to work towards. You can stay motivated and keep you focused on making improvements in your life. Make your goals SMART.

  • Create a strong support group that can help you when the path becomes difficult. You can seek help from family, and friends who can give some encouragement and advice. If needed you could ask a therapist or another professional.

  • Just write it all down. Blogging or journalling is a good way to stay focused and track your progress. Write down your achievements and keep track of the challenges you are facing. You can also write down other thoughts as they come to you.

Learning from your past experiences. You can learn from any of your past experiences no matter how challenging they were. Good and bad experiences can teach you something.

  • You are making progress when you can learn something from a complex background.

  • You need to identify the lessons from your difficult experiences. Take time to reflect on the lessons you have learned. Lessons about yourself and others and how can you apply these in the future.

  • Talk to others about your story. You can help process what has happened to you as well as help others who may go through a similar experience. You can blog, use a podcast, video or just talk to people about it.

  • Help others after you have learned from the experience that may help others. You can volunteer or mentor people. You could speak at events to help others as well.

Progress is possible no matter what you are facing in your life. You are on the right track if you can observe these signs. Keep taking one step at a time. Even when you are making a little progress, it is better than not making any progress.

You can achieve anything when you set your mind to it. You need to set specific, attainable goals. Reach out for support when you need to and never give up on yourself.

New Habits to Keep You Motivated

habits

Your success or failure in life will be determined by your habits. Your habits will dictate a lot about your life. You can for instance, expect to have physical consequences if you eat too much and don’t exercise. You reach your fullest potential when you form good habits.

You can also stay motivated to reach your goals with these good habits you are developing.

If you would like to listen to these types of articles, you can visit my podcasts atpodcast
These are short, usually under 5 minutes but they can enable you to listen to confidence and motivation advice and tips while driving or relaxing.

Here are some good habits to develop.

Stay healthy and take care of yourself. When you are sick you know that it is difficult to be productive or even to keep a positive attitude. You must take care of your health. Your energy levels and your productivity are affected when you are overweight. When you develop healthy habits and go to the gym a bit more and modify your meal plan, this can help you to stay motivated longer because you are feeling better about your body. When you have improved health, you are in a win-win situation.

Review your reason why. You have an initial rush of enthusiasm for the project when you initially set the goal. Over time, this enthusiasm is reduced. You need to develop a habit that will let you review your goal to bring your motivation level higher. This could be setting up a monthly review of your goal.

Keep being proactive. You get a dopamine rush when you get the jump on things with the right habit. Your habit can be arriving early or letting you think ahead on a project. Keeping a list of what you need to do in a task will keep you ahead of the game and on task.

Watch the small stuff. If your goal is large, like losing a lot of weight, you can lose your motivation when it looks like your progress has stalled. By having small goals that you can celebrate, you can build up your motivation. For the weight loss goal, the smaller goals could be eating a little differently or taking the stairs.

Be around motivational people. Choose your company carefully so that this can be an easy habit to build. You could meet with these people regularly to keep you motivated and build up the relationships.

Staying on track to achieve your goals is easier with good habits. Motivation will be an automatic part of your life when you create the habit and do it often enough.

Why Should You Get a Coach?

life coach

What’s easier: Working toward your goals alone through trial and error, or seeking the guidance and direction of someone who’s been there and done that?

The answer is obvious. When you seek the advice of someone who has been through it all before, you can then avoid the same mistakes and focus your time and energy on what truly works. That’s the power of a life coach.

Imagine yourself with a set plan and just the right advice. Coaching may shave years off the time it would have taken you to reach your goals otherwise!

Here are the top 7 reasons why you need a life coach:

  1. Builds confidence. You know you’re under the guidance of someone successful and that your goals are attainable.
  2. Guided plan. Sure, you can draft up a plan by yourself, but when you write out your plans with the help of a coach, you know you’re getting a realistic plan that works! Your coach will know shortcuts and can help you stay accountable as well.
  3. Coaches can help you cope with current conflicts and tensions in your life. They can also give you tips on how to avoid similar situations in the future.
  4. Personal attention. Coaching allows you to get one on one attention so you can be personally guided along your chosen path. If you run into struggles, your coach will be there to provide much needed support and suggestions.
  5. Dealing with challenges. Things will not always go according to plan. When you hit a snag, your coach can help you overcome the challenge and steer you back into the correct direction. You can feel comfortable knowing that you’re receiving expert guidance.
  6. You can decide how you’d like to use your coach. Do you want help with short-term goals or long-term goals? Perhaps you’d like both.
  7. Your coach likely has a great deal of enthusiasm for their work, which will naturally rub off on you. Sometimes it may be difficult to keep up your drive, but thankfully, inspiration is one of the main reasons why coaches exist.

Finding a Coach That’s Right for You

There are a few tips you should keep in mind when searching for a coach that will mesh well with your personal style. The first concern is that your coach should have certain credentials and experience. It depends on the field you’re in, but ensure you do your homework when it comes to checking up on your coach.

See if you can find testimonials and reviews about potential coaches. Ask around and try to talk to someone else who has been coached by this person. After all, a good referral is always more trusted!

Communicate with your potential coach and see what his or her communication style is like. Ask yourself whether or not you think you’d get along well with this person. Some people might think the coach is fabulous, but if you don’t think you’ll personally communicate well, then it may not be a good fit for you.

Make sure your coaching sessions will be conducted in a format that you find comfortable. Ask yourself whether you’re the type of person that needs to meet face to face. Nowadays with technology we can communicate in many different ways. Coaching sessions can take place over the phone, email, video conferencing, or in-person.

In the end you should be proud of yourself for seeking expert help. Follow these strategies to find a great life coach for you and jump-start your journey into the life you desire.

Your dreams come true in the right environment

dreams

Even though people have dreams and aspirations, not many people actually achieve their goals. You are more likely to achieve your goals when you have a supportive environment and are surrounded by positive influences.

You can create an environment that will help your dreams to come true.

If you would like to listen to these types of articles, you can visit my podcasts atpodcastThese are short, usually under 5 minutes but they can enable you to listen to confidence and motivation advice and tips while driving or relaxing.

Supportive people. It is very challenging to keep yourself motivated to achieve your dreams if you are surrounded by people who keep telling you that you will never achieve them. You need to find people who support and encourage you to be around.

  • Your happiness, health and a longer life are increased when you spend time with like-minded people.

  • When things get tough, you are less likely to give up and will feel more confident when you know that people who believe in you are around.

  • With a supportive group of people it will be easier to achieve your goals by being able to get feedback on your ideas.

  • Keep your space to support you achieving your dreams that is not cluttered and chaotic. When your space is unorganized it is challenging to focus on your goals.

  • Be inspired by your surroundings. It is easier to achieve your dreams when you are in a positive environment.

  • Make your space reflect your goals. Get rid of your snacks if you are trying to lose weight. Create a writing space if you want to write a book.

  • You should feel good in your environment. It is a lot easier to achieve your goals when you are in an environment that aligns with the goals you are trying to achieve

Think positive. Thinking positively is an important part of achieving your dreams. You are much more likely to succeed when you have a belief in your ability and yourself. You need to surround yourself with positive messages and affirmations.

  • Boost your positive mindset with daily positive affirmations. These simple messages can make a big difference in your attitude.

  • Write down and review your goals often. You can stay more focused and motivated when you see your goals written down.

  • Create your vision board. These images, quotes and any other things that inspire you will constantly remind you of your goals and keep you on track.

  • Keep your self-talk positive. Put any negative thoughts into a positive light.

  • Deal with any past trauma. It is essential that any past trauma be dealt with in a healthy manner. You will be held back from success in achieving your dreams if you hold on to any anger, resentment or pain from the past.

  • Get professional help to deal with your emotions and release the past. It is easier to reach your goals when you release any past trauma.

Take care of yourself. To achieve your dreams, you must take care of your physical, mental and emotional health. You have to eat right, exercise and get enough sleep.

  • You also need to have some time for yourself to relax and remove any stress. You have the energy and the focus when you take care of yourself to achieve your goals.

Make your goals realistic. Your goals need to be achievable. You will be setting yourself up to be disappointed if you set your goals too high. Break larger goals into smaller, manageable pieces. Set a realistic timeline to achieve your goals and take the steps necessary to achieve them.

Create your action plan. You have to create a plan of action to achieve your goals once they are set. It may be a challenge to achieve your goals so you need to put the steps you need to take into your timeline. Move closer to your goals by taking action every day.

To achieve your dreams it is essential to create an environment that will support your dreams. Set realistic goals and make sure to take care of yourself. Continue to take action to move you towards your goals while in your positive space. Doing these things will get you closer to achieving your dreams.
