Using Affirmations For Self-Belief

affirmations

One of the famous authors, Robin Sharma, says that anything that is done for 21 continuous days becomes a habit for you. Improving your self-confidence, not just results in success in your work, but also helps you realise your true worth. It makes you understand yourself better as a person. Being positive at all times helps to improve your self-esteem phenomenally. These affirmations listed below help you remain positive at all times. These affirmations are certain mantras/rules which make you convinced about the decisions that you take in your life.

Failures are stepping stones to success

This is the first affirmation that you need to tell yourself every day. Regardless of your effort and skill, you may fail in your efforts, and things may not go as planned. You should understand that life is never a bed of roses and that you have to experience the thorns if you want to enjoy the beauty of the roses. When you keep repeating this mantra, you will start seeing failures as experiences or opportunities that gave you some important lessons to remember throughout your lifetime.

I love challenges, and I am cut out for it

When a job gets monotonous and dull, it doesn’t push you to perform well. Your creativity is killed when your job doesn’t have challenges. So, whenever you find challenging situations, you shouldn’t get intimidated by them. Instead, you should welcome these challenges with open arms and show them how prepared you are to meet them with confidence. Tell yourself every day that you are made to meet challenges and that you love them. As the great Paulo Coelho said, “The ship is safest when it’s in port, but that’s not what ships were built for”.

I trust my decisions

This is one of the most important affirmations that you should repeat at regular intervals to feel confident and motivated at work. When you trust your decisions, you will do a better job than before at work because the onus rests with you. Sometimes, your decisions may turn out to be incorrect, but even at those times, it is important never to give up. There can be no place for regrets in your life. Think well, take a decision according to the situation and trust your instincts. More often than not, a decision taken this way proves to be correct, thereby boosting your self-confidence.

Where there is a will, there is a way

This is quite an inspiring affirmation, indeed! In simple words, this affirmation tells us that it is absolutely in our control to do or not do something. Many of us don’t admit our mistakes or take ownership of our wrong decisions. We always try to blame other people or situations. We always try to make excuses. However, your self-confidence will get a boost only with results, not with excuses! When you keep telling yourself this affirmation, you keep reminding yourself that if you are passionate about something, you will do it, beating all odds. You will only need to have the “want” to work towards your dreams, to make them a reality.

Appreciating Small Things and the Law of Attraction

negativity

Appreciation is clearly a positive action. When you appreciate something or someone, you are sending positive energy into the universe. That can only benefit you with positive energy coming back to you. That is a foundation of the Law of Attraction (LOA).

Perhaps you aren’t a believer in such principles as LOA. You think it’s hokum, and that the universe doesn’t have a points system of sorts. However, it’s been shown time and again that when people put out positive energy, they receive that in kind. The same is true for negative energy.

Even if you aren’t a believer, what can it hurt to project positivity into the world? Your small circle of friends and your family will notice it. That is enough to justify staying positive and appreciate those smaller things in your life.

Negativity surrounds you, and this makes it easy to get swallowed up in it. The news reports seem to show nothing but bad news on every channel. It’s gotten worse with the proliferation of the internet. Someone can post a negative tweet, for instance, and hundreds of people see it. People then share the tweet and so the list of people seeing it grows into thousands.

Because the internet allows people to post comments anonymously, that makes matters worse. They would never say to someone’s face the negative stuff they write. But, have no trouble spewing garbage on the internet. LOA works on the internet as well. People who post negative messages will find them returned. They cannot hide in their anonymity either. The universe has a way of bringing it back to them.

If you are one to say or post negative messages, think about the impact that has on others. It’s hurtful, and it will affect them. Also, think about how wonderful those people would feel if you posted something nice about them. You shouldn’t make up these attributes. They should be true. But, you should be able to find something nice to say about others. There is an old saying that if you can’t find something nice to say about someone, don’t say anything. People should incorporate this saying and live by it, especially on the internet.

If you believe that the small items don’t make a difference concerning LOA, think about the number of people that are alive on the planet. There are over six billion people. If everyone projected his or her appreciation for one small item, that would be a massive surge of positive energy.

The Words That Can Change Your Life

The Right Words Can Change Your Life

changeWords are very powerful things even though most people go through life without ever realizing or acknowledging that fact. Think about it, though. Words said in anger or carelessness can hurt someone and even affect that person permanently. On the flip side of that coin, certain compliments paid to someone can increase that person’s confidence in a way that will be carried a lifetime. Yes, words are very powerful, and that’s why you can use words to improve your opinion of yourself as well as your quality of life.

The words you’ll use to boost your self-confidence aren’t the words spoken to you by others. These are words that you will write and speak to yourself. They are called affirmations and can be some of the most effective means in raising the self-confidence of someone. Affirmations are easy to create and even simpler to put to use.

To begin with, target the areas of yourself and your life that you are not quite happy with or you feel needs some improving. For instance, if you are not pleased with something about your appearance, focus on something that you ARE happy with. Maybe you feel that you need to lose a bit of weight but you have a very pretty or handsome face. Focus on that beautiful smile. Then, every morning when you get up and before you go to bed every night, look at yourself in the mirror and say something along the lines of “I have a very beautiful smile and it is this smile that people will see when they look at me. My beautiful smile will draw the people I want into my life.” Of course, you’ll want to make it more personal, but you get the idea.

These affirmations are necessary in helping you to remember that there ARE some very attractive qualities about you and that those are the ones that you need to focus on bringing out to the forefront. When you are positive about something and can use that positivity, you’ll find that people will WANT to be around you because you produce such great energy. In other words, draw attention away from the fact that you may be packing a few extra pounds, for example, by showing off that great smile and your warm personality. People flock to that sort of thing.

Haven’t you ever noticed those great looking guys that are partnered with women that are less than a 5 on The Scale? Those women may not be physically beautiful but they have found a way to bring their inner beauty to the outside. You can do that as well. All you have to do is a little mind work. Write down affirmations that apply to what you are trying to accomplish. These can be recited as often as you wish or feel that you need them. The more positive energy that you put out the more that will come back to you. Soon, you’ll only be aware of that gorgeous smile and that extra weight will be a secondary concern that you can take care of when you have a chance. This can work the same way with whatever you want to change about yourself.

How to Create Your Own Affirmations

“Changing irrational beliefs can impact multiple areas of life. It doesn’t matter how many times you repeat affirmations for success but if you don’t change your core beliefs, the changes will be temporary.” ― Hina Hashmi, Your Life A Practical Guide to Happiness Peace and Fulfilment

Affirmations – Do They Work?

choose successAffirmations are powerful tools you can use to help you live the life you’ve always dreamed of.

What are affirmations?

Well, they’re positive statements that you say out loud on a regular basis. The goal is to re-program your subconscious mind so you can remove any negative thoughts that prevent you from living your dreams.

Affirmations work by overwriting negative thoughts, which are stored in your subconscious, with positive ones.

The Benefits of Affirmations

We all have mental recordings repeating again and again in our mind. Most of them come from childhood and have been directing our actions for years. Unfortunately, many of these old recordings are constantly feeding our mind negative information.

These negative recordings don’t always come from direct statements from people, but they tend to be general theories we’ve come to believe about our situation or ourselves.

If our parents always cautioned us about strangers, for example, we may have the mindset that sees the world as a dangerous place. If we came from a family without much money, we may have limiting beliefs about our finances that prevent us from attaining or keeping wealth.

The good news is you can override these destructive messages using the power of affirmations! Affirmations can reinforce good behaviors and change ones that need changing. To make those changes, you need to create affirmations you can identify with so they can help you improve.

Keep these key points in mind to create effective affirmations:

1. An affirmation must be in the present tense. Your subconscious doesn’t have the ability to accept a promise of future behavior. “I will eat healthy foods” doesn’t give your subconscious a timeline or deadline to perform your promise to yourself.

* Instead, state your affirmation as though it’s a behavior you already exhibit. “I always make healthy food choices” is a present tense statement your subconscious can accept as a fact.

2. For affirmations to work properly, they must be stated in the first person. In other words, don’t create an affirmation saying, “You must eat healthy foods.” In order for your affirmation to matter to your subconscious, it must be personal and use the word “I.”

* “I will choose healthy foods every time I eat” is a personal statement your subconscious can apply to your own behavior.

3. Finally, an affirmation must be stated in a positive manner. “I must stop eating junk food” sends your mind a distorted message; it interprets the same as “I eat junk food.” This type of statement will lead you in the opposite direction of your goal!

* Instead, “I choose fresh, healthy snacks when I am hungry” is a positive statement telling your mind the exact desired behavior.

How To Use Affirmations

Begin using affirmations by choosing a few short, clear statements about the things you’d like to see happen in your life.

Try some of these:

* I enjoy exercising every day.
* I love eating nutritious fresh foods in healthy portions.
* When I am free from the desire to smoke, I breathe clean, fresh air.
* I have everything I need to be content and happy today.

You can write your affirmations on note cards and keep them with you in your purse or wallet. Whenever you have a few moments to spare, take them out and read them aloud.

State the affirmations in a clear, firm voice with a smile on your face as you say them. This will help you become more aware of the positive vibrations of the affirmations, allowing them easier access to your subconscious mind.

Using affirmations on a daily basis is a terrific way to boost the positives in your life. Start using this powerful tool today to bring the changes you most desire into your world.

Your Subconscious Mind Works With Affirmations

“Self-trust is the first secret of success.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Affirmations And Your Subconscious Mind

positive attitudeThe first step to making positive changes in your life is to overcome your negative thoughts. The best way to change your thinking pattern is to reprogram your mind and blast your brain with positive affirmations that can lead you towards your desired results. While this process cannot bring about instant change, it can actually accelerate your progress and take you a fewer steps away from radical success. With the right choice of positive affirmations, you can finally achieve your life goals and see results you may have never thought possible.

So, how do affirmations work? At first, you may think that it is just some weird idea of planting seeds of reality on your mind. However, affirmations are actually backed by neural science. While affirmations cannot substitute the effect of medical treatment, they can still affect your overall mental health in a positive manner. When affirmations are practiced regularly and deliberately, they can slowly reinforce brain pathways and strengthen the connection between two neurons. This increases the likelihood of conducting the same message you want your brain to process.

Try to imagine a chunk of dry land. When rain pours, water will not have a place to go until it finally cuts a certain path through the arid land. As more and more water runs through that same path, it can cut a deeper indentation into the land. The deeper the dent, the more water will start running through it. Positive affirmations work exactly like that. In neurology, you can sum up this idea in one phrase – neurons that are capable of firing together can wire together. The brain also eliminates synapses that it rarely uses.

[AMAZONPRODUCTS asin=”B006OBWEDA”]

On the other hand, neurons that are regularly used can create patterns that add strength to the bond between them. As they wire together, they build a complex network that will automatically respond every time you encounter certain triggers in your daily life. Every word you say and every thought you think can turn into a grand stream of affirmations. Since childhood, you acquire beliefs and develop thought patterns that may either work well for you or work against you. Some of them may also be dysfunctional, jeopardizing your chances of achieving exactly what you want.

Every word that you say or think actually reflects your set of beliefs or inner truths. Most of these inner truths may not be true for now. In fact, they may be based on inappropriate or inaccurate impressions that you were able to form when you were still a child. Once you reach adulthood and examine those convictions, you can start identifying whether they are appropriate or not. To understand how affirmation works, you should also be familiar with how your subconscious helps you respond to certain events in your life.

Your subconscious mind automatically uses the behavioral patterns you have learned as you respond to daily events in your life. This process is essential to your survival because it allows you to respond quickly to the events around you, which would otherwise be impossible if you have to examine every aspect of the simplest things that happen. All the thought patterns and responses you have learned allow you to respond to circumstances in a timely manner. However, some of the beliefs you have formed from a baseless perspective may get in your way of responding to difficult circumstances in an appropriate manner.

When problems arise, you have the option to use positive affirmations in order to challenge the negative beliefs and thought patterns you have acquired. These positive statements aim to replace negative thinking patterns with positive, self-nurturing beliefs. The way positive affirmations are constructed can either strengthen or weaken their effects. As you continue reading this e-Book, you will learn how to construct your own set of affirmations. With these positive statements, you can finally focus on achieving your inner goals while consciously shaping the thoughts and words that reflect your self-nurturing beliefs.
